Temperament comes first @ Kapitol Kennels.

All of the dogs at Kapitol Kennels are favorites in the local community. Raised as "Pit Bull Ambassadors" to Elk Grove and Sacramento. They are part of our family environment,
and are socialized with our children from the moment they open their eyes.

Many of our visitors have asked information about the people behind the dogs you see in this site. We are by definition hobbyists. Our passion is the APBT. We devote a considerable amount of time and energy into promoting this breed and protecting its future. We are aware that pit bulls have been misunderstood and categorized as an agressive breed; to that extent we are committed to reversing the propaganda and media hype by representing this breed as a true human companion and ambassador of the dog world.

Breeding is not an art...It is a science. I am a science major and my partner in crime is a biology major...point is that every breeding we do is calculated to produce a better dog. We will not breed a dog unless we feel the temperment is sound. We look for bone, muscle, and drive...yes drive. What makes a pit bull a pit dog....drive. We do not take short cuts and will never...ever mix another breed with the APBT to get a certain look or fad.

We have reintroduced drive into the bully world...using a 100% pitbull stock!

Kapitol Kennels is small kennel located in Northern California.
This site displays many of our dogs, but we prefer to keep a limited number of dogs
 in our yard so we can devote time to spoiling and training. Our dogs are athletes...they are high energy and love to get worked out.

All dogs are UKC or UKC/ABDA registered. 

            

Bloodlines behind our dogs include
 Razor's Edge, Greyline, Gaff, Hollands, Nevada and Watchdog. 

No dogs sold or bred for illegal purposes.

All dogs sold by Kapitol Kennels recieve 5 in 1 shots, deworming, and a huge dose of TLC. My pups are parvo and worm free. We keep our whelping box super clean and only use homeopathic materials\products with our puppies.
